Guided Runs

Nervous about hitting the trails with your dog? Don’t know where to start, where to park, where to go, the best routes? Well, we can help you find the way!

With hundreds of high quality routes and well maintained public rights of way on your doorstep there are no shortage of places to run in our area.

Get in touch via our facebook group to arrange any of the following activities. All completely free of charge and tailorable to meet your needs. All runs are delivered in accordance with the Canicross Coach methodology.

  • Introductory Canicross Run. A one to one or group session in either Seven Fields nature reserve in central Swindon or at Ashdown House just outside Ashbury. An introductory session for you and your dog covering Canicross kit, commands designed to get you and your dog out for your very first run (which can be a long, short, fast or slow as you want).
  • Intermediate Guided Run. A one to one or group session to get you out on the trails. If you and your dog are both ‘Canicross ready’ and know the basics then let’s get out there and run – out on the Ridgeway! The session will be delivered on local public rights of way on an agreed route. We offer routes ranging from short ‘out and backs’ up to full half marathon, it’s completely up to you how far and how fast we go.
  • Group (club style) runs. Unlike many Canicross groups Ridgeway Canicross are enhanced DBS checked and fully qualified. If you are looking for a professional, friendly but above all safe Canicross group then look no further. Join our facebook group and Strava club to get involved

And the cost? Completely free, if you enjoyed your session then we welcome a donation to our favourite charity which is Brighter Futures. The Great Western Hospitals Charity. (link below).
